Publisher Description
Civil War Truce, a true story of courage and generosity told in this hauntingly beautiful account of a young Catholic Sister. As the Civil War erupted around her, authorities up and down the Ohio River scrambled to make room for injured and dying soldiers while typhoid and cholera swept across the face of the armies. But unknown to all, an improbable action was about to happen and a very young Catholic Sister, with a tender heart for God, was just two months away from her destiny, drawing a truce to the horrific war. A portion of the sale of this will go to Sisters of Charity of Nazareth ministries.
